Matthew Laydon joined Gambs Mucker & Bauman in 2010.  He works as a general litigation attorney, practicing in the areas of commercial litigation, municipal law, personal injury law, domestic relations and criminal defense.  Matthew is admitted to practice in the state of Indiana (2006); the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana (2006); and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana.  He is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association and the Tippecanoe County Bar Association.
   Matthew was born in Iron Mountain, in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.  He received his B.A., With High Honor, majoring in Finance, from Michigan State University in 2003.  In 2006, Matthew received his J.D., cum laude, from the Indiana University School of Law - Bloomington, where he was an Assistant Editor on the Indiana Law Journal.  Upon graduation from law school, Matthew joined the Indianapolis law firm of Price Waicukauski & Riley, where he handled complex civil litigation matters.  In 2008, Matthew returned to Bloomington to pursue his M.B.A., as a Dean's Fellow, at the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.  While attending Kelley, he focused his studies on Marketing and Business Law.  He graduated in May 2010, with an academic excellence achievement distinction and the next month began work at Gambs Mucker & Bauman.
   When not practicing law, Matthew enjoys spending time with his family, including his wife, Stephanie, who teaches Spanish at West Lafayette Community Schools.  Matthew is active in the community as a member of the Board of Directors of  the Legal Aid Corporation of Tippecanoe County, a member of the West Lafayette Elks Club, and active in the Young Lawyers Section of the Tippecanoe County Bar Association.  He is also an avid sports fan, dedicated to Notre Dame, the Detroit Red Wings and the Green Bay Packers.
